Ravi Zacharias 1940-2020

Ravi Zacharias (26 March 1946 – 19 May 2020 ) was an Indian-born Canadian-American Christian apologist. A strong defender of the Christian Faith.

He is the kind of speaker that makes me sit straight up in my chair and listen carefully as not to miss anything. I would often say, “Wait What?”, and have to playback the video. When I think of Ravi Zacharias… 1 Peter 3:15 comes to mind…

but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; 1 Peter 3:15

His daughter Sarah Davis writes about her dad HereRavi Zacharias, Now with Jesus.

I have listened to a lot of sound bites, and 15 minute YouTube videos from Ravi Zacharias, and many of his messages, Here is one at a Ligonier conference.

My knowledge of that life is small,
The eye of faith is dim;
But ‘tis enough that Christ knows all,
And I shall be with Him

…and that’s a beautiful thing!

  • Ravi was one of the greater apologist of our time. His defense of the gospel will be missed here, but he himself will now rest, rest in the awesome presence of Jesus.

  • The first time I heard him talk was, I think a college, not sure where, but it was Q&A and a student came up and said and I’m paraphrasing… “You people with your morality think everyone is a murderer and a rapist, I refuse to live that way, why is that?”

    Ravi shut him up with one short response… Do you lock your doors at night? He said yes, the audience laughed and knew he got him!
