Born of a Virgin
Isaiah 7:14 prophesies, “Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call Him Immanuel.” This prophecy forecasts Jesus’s miraculous birth.
In Matthew 1:22-23, we see its fulfillment as the angel declares to Joseph that Mary will give birth to Immanuel, meaning “God with us.” What a privilege it is to recognize that God chose to become human!

Micah 5:2 states that the Messiah will be born in Bethlehem: “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel.” This emphasizes the humble beginnings of our Savior.
Matthew 2:1 confirms this prophecy when the Magi visit Jesus, saying, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?” Bethlehem was indeed the birthplace of Jesus, fulfilling the prophet’s words.
His Ministry in Galilee
Isaiah prophesies in Isaiah 9:1-2 that a great light will shine upon those living in darkness. This refers to the region of Galilee and anticipates the ministry of Jesus, who began preaching there.
Matthew 4:13-16 recounts how Jesus left Nazareth and lived in Capernaum, fulfilling this prophecy. Have you seen how Jesus brings light into the dark corners of your life?
His Death and Resurrection
Psalm 22 vividly depicts the suffering of the Messiah. Verses 16-18 describe the piercing of hands and feet along with the division of garments, illustrating Jesus’s crucifixion.
In John 19:23-24, the soldiers cast lots for Jesus’s clothing, fulfilling this prophecy. Jesus’s resurrection is foretold in Psalm 16:10, stating, “You will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, nor will you let your faithful one see decay.” This is confirmed in the New Testament through the accounts of the resurrection.
